The Launch X-431 ProS V Update License is a digital software license that keeps the diagnostic software environment of your compatible scan tool supplied with the latest updates for 1 year from activation. The license unlocks access to newly added vehicle coverage, expanded system support, and enhanced diagnostic capabilities within the device's original software. Throughout this period, users can take full advantage of all updates released during the license term, ensuring your scan tool stays current with the latest vehicle models and new electronic systems in your workshop.

After purchase, you'll receive an update card with a 12-character activation code. The code is entered manually into the license or update menu of the corresponding software on your scan tool. Once the code is processed, updates become available through the standard update function, and your technician can immediately start working with the latest software version. When the 1-year license period expires, the already-installed software continues to work on your device, but new updates and additional vehicle coverage are no longer released. Renewal is required to continue updating and maintain access to future expansions.
