The Jaltest JT2001 is a digital multimeter for performing a wide range of electrical measurements. The instrument measures DC voltage (DCV), AC voltage (ACV), DC current (DCA) and resistance (Ω). The meter features an easy-to-read 3½-digit LCD display with a maximum reading of 1999 counts. For added safety, the device is equipped with a non-contact voltage detector (NCV) and complies with the safety standard CAT II 250V according to EN 61010-1 and EN 61010-2-030.

Beyond basic measurements, the JT2001 offers additional functions such as a diode test and a continuity test with audible buzzer. The data hold function lets you freeze a reading on the display for later reference. For use in poorly lit environments, the display features a backlight. The multimeter automatically powers off after ten minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life, and includes a low battery indicator.

✕DC current measurement only — The meter measures DC current up to 10A; AC current measurement is not available.

✕Batteries not included — The device operates on two 1.5V AAA batteries, which are not included in the package contents.

✕Never measure above 250Vrms — The instrument is designed for a CAT II 250V environment; higher voltages pose a risk of electric shock.

💡

Good to know: When measuring current, move the red test lead to the separate 10A input and set the rotary dial to the corresponding position. If the lead remains in the voltage input while measuring current, it will create a short circuit across the measurement circuit and blow the fuse. Always switch the meter back to voltage mode after taking current measurements.
