The Jaltest JDC574A9 is the adapter between the 6-pin diagnostic connector of Crown warehouse and lift trucks and the standard 16-pin OBD2 interface of the Jaltest Link. On the vehicle side is the 6-pin connector, which connects in the cab or at the driver's position of the truck; on the interface side is the 16-pin OBD2 plug for your Jaltest diagnostic cable.

Behind this single connection lie the truck's control units. The connection brings the Jaltest software to the Zapi TPM power modules that control the drive and lift functions of electric trucks, in both the CAN and RS232 versions, and on the CD diesel series to the engine control DL03 (CAN). The focus of coverage is therefore on electric trucks; these in turn have no engine ECU. For warehouse and lift trucks there is no OBD requirement, which is why this connector remains in use on more recent trucks as well. The cable falls under Jaltest MHE (Material Handling Equipment).

IMPORTANT NOTES

✕The ZPM (CAN) power module is covered under Crown warranty, but without diagnostic functions.

✕Requires a Jaltest Link with valid MHE license; the cable itself does not add coverage.

  • Zapi TPM (RS232), Power module: The same module on older trucks with serial connection.
  • ZPM (CAN), Power module: The power module as Jaltest lists it for some series.
  • DL03, CAN, Engine Control Module: The engine control of CD diesel trucks.

  • View measured values: Current sensor readings connected to the control unit, displayed as numbers and graphs.

Good to know: The 6-pin connector is located in the cab or at the driver's position of the truck. Warehouse and handling equipment are not subject to OBD requirements, so this connector is also found on newer trucks. Always verify which connector your truck has before ordering.
