The Jaltest JDC207A is the adapter cable connecting the proprietary 4-pin diagnostic connector of the MAN TG series to the 16-pin OBD2 port of your Jaltest diagnostic cable. On the vehicle side, you'll find the 4-pin connector, which is located in the cab of the TG series; on the interface side, the 16-pin OBD2 plug.
The cable opens the diagnostic line to the fully CAN-based vehicle network of the TG series, which is built around the central control unit FFR. This gives your diagnostic equipment access to that FFR, the common-rail engine control EDC 7 C3/C32 and the earlier EDC MS 6.1, the transmissions AS Tronic and Ecomat 2, and the braking, retarder, air supply and exhaust gas systems of this generation. For the AS Tronic, Jaltest provides transmission parameter configuration as a separate function. From Euro IV onwards (October 2005), MAN switched to the standardized 16-pin OBD2 connector; only early TG model years are therefore compatible. The cable falls under Jaltest CV (commercial vehicles).

Through this connection, you access the truck's control units using Jaltest software. The units listed below are from MAN TG coverage; which ones are present depends on the specific configuration and model year.

- EDC 7 C3/C32, Electronic Diesel Control, Common Rail and EDC 7 Master-Slave C3/C32: The common-rail engine control system for the TG series.
- EDC MS 6.1, Diesel in-line injection pump: Engine control with in-line injection pump on early versions.
- FFR, Vehicle control unit: The central vehicle control unit of the TG series.
- ZBR2 / ZFR, Body computer and OBDU, On-board diagnosis unit: The body computers and on-board diagnostic unit.
- AS Tronic, Gearbox with electronic control and Ecomat 2, Automatic gearbox: The robotic and automatic transmissions.
- EBS 2.2-2.3 Knorr-Bremse, EBS 5 (CAN/K), EBS 5/5X MAN: The electronic braking systems.
- EST-48 / EST-52 / PriTarder / Retarder Voith / VERA: The auxiliary braking systems.
- ECAM, Electronically Controlled Air Management: The electronic air preparation system.
- HDS/SCR AdBlue and CRT filter: The exhaust aftertreatment systems.
- ATC / BHTC / GKR: The climate control systems, and KSM VDO as a configurable add-on module.
What you can do
- Read and clear fault codes: Access the fault memory of the control unit with detailed descriptions of detected faults.
- View live data: Monitor real-time sensor values connected to the control unit, displayed as numbers and graphs.
- Activate components: Directly trigger components to determine whether the fault lies with the part itself or in the wiring.
- Configure parameters: Write configurations and settings to the control unit.
- Perform calibrations: For systems where Jaltest offers a calibration procedure, such as after component replacement.

The connector type is what matters, not the model. This cable fits any MAN from the TG generation equipped with the manufacturer's 4-pin diagnostic connector. Jaltest CV covers the series listed below; check on-site which connector is installed in your cab.
