The Jaltest JDC101A is the adapter cable between the 3+3-pin diagnostic connector for the Haldex ABS MODAL-control unit and the 16-pin OBD2 of your Jaltest diagnostic cable. On the system side, it features the 3+3-pin connector, which connects directly to the diagnostic port of the Modal control unit on the chassis; on the interface side, it has the 16-pin OBD2 connector. This connection is system-specific and not brand-dependent: what matters is the Haldex control unit on the chassis, not the trailer manufacturer.
This cable routes the communication lines through to the Jaltest Link, enabling direct communication with the trailer control unit. This gives the diagnostic equipment access to the anti-lock braking system ABS MODAL for trailers and semi-trailers, with fault codes, live data and maintenance information. Over the years, Haldex has introduced multiple trailer braking systems to the market, and Jaltest covers them as separate systems in its database; the JDC101A is exclusively the connector for the ABS MODAL. Trailers have never had a standardized diagnostic connector requirement, which is why this plug remains in use as long as the system is on the road. The cable falls under Jaltest CV (commercial vehicles).
