The TopDiag P200 circuit tester is designed for comprehensive electric vehicle diagnostics and combines the functions of a multimeter, oscilloscope, and component tester in one device. The tester is suitable for both 12V and 24V vehicle systems with an operating voltage from 9V to 30V and can record measurements up to a maximum of 100V. The device is powered directly via the included battery clamps or through a cigarette lighter adapter, after which electrical circuits throughout the vehicle can be checked using the long test cable and detachable test probes. This tool is primarily intended for measuring wiring, locating short circuits, and checking sensors and actuators within modern automotive technology.
In practice, the tester operates using Smart Test technology, where the device automatically recognizes on the connected probe whether voltage (VDC) or resistance (Ohm) is being measured. When determining polarity, a red or green LED indicator and an acoustic signal immediately indicate whether it is a positive or negative supply. Additionally, the tool features a built-in power supply that allows components such as lighting, fuel injectors, and relays to be actively controlled in various test modes (Moment, Latch, Pulse). During use, an adjustable electronic circuit breaker (1A to 18A) protects the vehicle circuit from overload, which is essential for safely diagnosing parts without needing external power supplies or separate fuses.

- Smart Test: Automatic recognition of the measured parameter (voltage or resistance) on the test probe. This eliminates the need to manually switch between measurement modes during quick checks.
- Multimeter mode: Full functionality for measuring direct current voltage (DC), resistance, continuity, diodes, current (Amperes), and frequency (Hz) for detailed circuit diagnosis.
- Component activation: Directly powering actuators such as cooling fans, starters, or lamps with 12V/24V via the test probe. Features control modes 'Moment', 'Latch', and 'Pulse' for specific test procedures.
- 12V/24V Battery test: Analyzes the condition of the vehicle battery without needing to connect external equipment. Performs charging tests, starting tests, and load tests to verify the capacity and operation of the charging system.
Special Functions and Capabilities
For in-depth troubleshooting, the system is equipped with various advanced test functions.
- Oscilloscope mode: Provides a visual display of electrical signals with a voltage range from 1V to 49V to analyze pulsing signals from sensors and network communication (such as PWM).
- Relay test: A test-specific interface for checking standard 4-pin and 5-pin automotive relays, including visual wiring diagrams displayed on the built-in screen.
- Fuel injector test: Sends specific pulse signals to fuel injectors to check mechanical and electrical operation, helping to rule out blockages or faulty coils.
- Adjustable circuit breaker: The internal short-circuit protection can be manually set between 1A and 18A. This prevents sensitive wiring from melting when powering suspicious or shorted circuits.
