The OBDSTAR ECU Master is an ECU programmer developed for reading, writing, and editing control units in passenger cars, electric vehicles, motorcycles, and heavy equipment. The device supports work on ECM, TCM, BCM, BMS, VCU, and other body and chassis modules, and is available in three configurations: ECU MASTER A (Passenger Car and EV), ECU MASTER B (Motorcycle), and ECU MASTER C (HD/heavy equipment). Thanks to the modular design, the technician can choose the configuration that fits their workshop focus.

The ECU Master connects to the control unit via the included M001C main cable, the BENCH-C V1 ECU Fisher bench cable, and the C4-10 Adapter for JTAG and BDM operations. For component-level connections, the W004, W005, and W006 read/write solder wires are used in combination with the jumper wires (8 specifications) and the 3-in-1 jumper extension cable. Communication with the PC software runs via the USB-A to USB-B cable, allowing the technician to read, edit, and write back ECU data on a bench setup.

ATTENTION POINTS

✕ Soldering techniques required when using the W004, W005, and W006 solder wires for component-level connections.

✕ The three configurations are not interchangeable: ECU MASTER A does not support engine or HD functions and vice versa.

✕ Work is performed on a bench setup; the ECU must be removed from the vehicle for this.

The OBDSTAR ECU Master supports the following tasks on control units:

ECM operations: Reading and writing engine management modules for tuning, repair, and cloning within all three configurations.
TCM operations: Working on transmission modules of passenger cars (configuration A) and HD vehicles (configuration C).
BCM and chassis modules: Reading and writing body, chassis, and other modules for passenger cars and HD vehicles.
BMS and VCU operations: Access to battery management and vehicle control units of electric vehicles via configuration A.
Motorcycle ECM: Reading and writing engine management on motorcycles via configuration B.
JTAG operations: Reading and writing data via the JTAG interface with the C4-10 Adapter.
BDM operations: Reading and writing data via BDM mode with the C4-10 Adapter.
Component-level operations: Reading and writing via solder connections with the W004, W005, and W006 wires for situations where standard bench connection is insufficient.
