The Jaltest JDC601A is an Adapter Cable designed to establish a connection between the specific 3-pin diagnostic connector of Yamaha personal watercraft and outboard motors and the standardized 16-pin OBD2 port of a diagnostic device. This cable enables diagnostic systems to interface with the engine management system of the vessel for reading fault codes and viewing system parameters.
With this cable, not only can fault codes be read and cleared, but access to further diagnostic functions is also supported. This includes viewing live data from sensors, performing actuator tests, and consulting system information. The cable is developed for use with the Jaltest Marine diagnostic interface, but can also operate with other diagnostic equipment that supports the Yamaha protocol via a 16-pin OBD2 connector.
