The Jaltest (29787) ADAS update license is a software extension of one year for diagnosing and calibrating advanced driver assistance systems (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). This license is specifically designed for workshops working with ADAS calibration equipment and ensures that the diagnostic information, vehicle coverage, and functionality of the reading device remain up to date.

With an active license, you gain access to the most recent software versions, including new features, expanded technical information, and diagrams for calibration procedures. An active license is mandatory for the ADAS module to use the software; after the license period expires, the software is completely blocked. The extension is automatically and digitally processed within 24 hours after ordering, requiring a stable internet connection on the reading device.

Applications and functionalities

Activating the Jaltest ADAS update license grants access to essential functions needed for the maintenance and calibration of modern driver assistance systems. Without a valid license, it is not possible to start the software or perform updates.

• Full software functionality: An active license is a prerequisite to use the ADAS software. After the expiration date, access to all diagnostic functionality is blocked.
• Continuous system updates: You receive the latest system updates with improved performance, expanded vehicle coverage, and support for new ADAS components.
• Technical information: Access to detailed manuals, step-by-step calibration instructions, and technical bulletins crucial for correct execution of tasks.
• Mandatory activation: Besides the annual extension, a reactivation of the license is required when installing new software versions and at least every six months.

💡 Tip: The license activation is carried out entirely remotely. It is essential that your Jaltest reading device is registered with AsTools. Without this registration, the update cannot be processed.

How does it work in practice?

Follow the steps below to successfully activate your software license.

1. Order the license: Add the software extension to your shopping cart and complete the order.
2. Enter the serial number: Provide the serial number of your Jaltest Link interface in the remarks field during ordering.
3. Check the registration: Ensure your Jaltest reading device is registered with AsTools. Without this link, we cannot activate the license.
4. Change the distributor (if necessary): Is your device not yet registered on our platform? Then fill in the Jaltest distributor change form and send it to us so we can make the connection.
5. Automatic activation: After verifying the data, the Jaltest ADAS update license will be digitally activated within 24 hours.
6. Start the software: The software will automatically recognize the new license status at the next start-up with an active internet connection.

Serial number information

For correct and fast processing of the license activation, the serial number of your Jaltest Link interface is required. This unique number consists of nine characters.

The serial number can be found in one of the following locations and must be entered in the remarks field when ordering:

• Interface: On the sticker on the back of the Jaltest V9 Link reading device.
• Settings menu: Within the Jaltest software via the system settings or device information menu.
• Packaging box: On the original product packaging.
