The GoDiag GT112 is a test platform specifically designed for offline testing of 2nd and 3rd generation dashboards and immobilizer systems (IMMO) of Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, and Seat. This cable set allows a dashboard to be connected outside the vehicle and converts the connection to a standard OBD2 interface. This enables technicians to perform diagnostics and program keys via the K-Line communication protocol without the components being installed in the car.
The platform is equipped with an independent ignition switch to simulate the contact status and a key coil with an indicator light. This light provides visual feedback on the status of the key chip and communication with the immobilizer system. The GT112 is compatible with a wide range of diagnostic and programming devices, such as VCDS, VVDI2, Key Tool Plus, and various other testers that support the K-Line protocol for VAG vehicles.
Application and functionality:
The GoDiag GT112 is used to perform various tasks on the immobilizer system of VAG vehicles on the workbench.
- Offline dashboard connection: Enables connecting and powering a dashboard separately from the vehicle, after which a standard OBD2 port is available for diagnostic equipment.
- Key programming and IMMO test: Facilitates learning new keys and testing the synchronization between the immobilizer, the key, and the dashboard.
- Independent ignition switch: A switch simulates turning the ignition on and off, which is necessary for programming procedures.
- Key chip detection: The included key coil has an indicator light that shows the status of the transponder communication. A blinking and then fading light indicates successful recognition; a continuously blinking or non-illuminated light indicates a problem with the key or the IMMO system.
- Emergency start area detection: The coil can be used to check the operation of the vehicle’s emergency start detection area.
